Design Engineering Intern
Job Type: Intern – Design Engineering
Job Status: Full time summer and/or part time during school year
Job Responsibilities:
- IC specification definition with marketing, working with a team of 2-3 engineers in the hands-on design, simulation, physical layout of the design, including parasitic extraction and LVS/DRC, and testing of the circuitry.
- Responsible for guiding production test requirements, solutions, and limits.
- Provides perspective on future technology, tools, and capital equipment.
- Works with all departments to ensure the product schedule and goals are met.
Requirements:
- Entering fourth year of BS Electrical Engineering program BS. MS. or Ph.D. candidates in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Coursework in analog/RF circuit design is a must, with large-signal and CMOS or GaAs IC experience as a plus.
- Basic understanding and lab experience with several of the following is expected: Power amplifiers, LNAs, mixers, filters, modulators and demodulators, oscillators, PLLs, and device models.
- Understanding of CAD tools from front to back is a plus, particularly Cadence and ADS.
- Knowledge of fundamental device physics with emphasis on field effect transistors.
