Sales Business Analyst
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing analytical and strategic support to Peregrine’s Vice President of Sales and the Director Sales Operations. The candidate will be required to interface with WW Sales team to support forecast activity and new product introductions (FC). Forecasting and Planning Analyst is responsible for the creation of all short, medium and long term forecasts and planning exercises, which will cover all lines of business in the Customer Service origination, and will include (but not be limited to) demand plans, RTF analysis, resource requirements and capacity plans / thresholds (Buffer Inventory). In addition, this role is responsible for generating meaningful and salient analytics, commentary and recommendations on all current short, medium and long term Service Level performance trends and root cause factors, ensuring that this output is also used to further enhance all forecast, plans and real time manufacturing operations.
This position requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Essential Functions:
- Create and Maintain robust forecasting models which encompass volumes, resources, and necessary assumptions to ensure proactive management of WW demand requirements / needs.
- Assist in the planning for all capacity and resource related activities, such as ongoing forecasts and new hire requirements.
- This position is responsible for the generation of key strategic level analytics for Peregrine Semiconductor’s global business units.
- Focus areas of research and analysis include Peregrine Semiconductor’s customers, and Industry/Market conditions and manufacturing requirements.
- Forecasting of all volumes that can and may impact sales performance and resources
- Tight integration with Manufacturing, Marketing and Finance Teams for forecasting and planning.
- Creation of daily, weekly and monthly analytics in order to demonstrate:
- Level of accuracy for all forecast vs. actual
- Service Level impact / root cause analyses - interval level, daily, weekly, monthly, YTD
- Resource allocation and effectiveness
Qualifications:
- 5 -8 years of analytics experience
- Previous exposure and insight into a technically advanced technical institution's operational. needs; previous semiconductor industry experience preferred.
- Strategy, planning, or consulting functional experience; global business experience.
- University degree in Mathematics (Statistics), Business or Science.
- Masters level degree in Business Administration (Economics, Marketing, General).
- Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other statistical analytic tools.
- Excellent business analysis, communication and documentation skills.
- Proven and well developed statistical analysis ability.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- May be required to be available outside normal business hours.
- Occasional/limited travel maybe required.
- Must be a self-starter, be able to work with minimal supervision and have excellent problem solving skills.
