Peregrine’s UltraCMOS® technology enables switching regulators to switch at a higher switching speed than conventional CMOS regulators. This switching advantage is due to the lower parasitic capacitances in a silicon-on-insulator process. Further, this higher switching frequency enables the use of smaller magnetics than conventional CMOS regulators.
In this category, Peregrine currently manufactures an isolated DC-DC switching regulator. These transformer drivers enable higher switching frequency than conventional CMOS regulators due to UltraCMOS technology, thus enabling a smaller overall solution as magnetics size can be decreased.
