Taro Desaki is a seasoned strategist, specializing in business operations, with more than 25 years’ experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries. Since joining pSemi in 2019, Desaki has held various directorships in marketing, supply chain management, and corporate planning, contributing to both pSemi’s and parent company Murata’s global competitiveness. He has been instrumental in aligning direction between pSemi and Murata. 

Desaki came to pSemi from Murata Power Solutions in Massachusetts, where from 2015 to 2019 he directed, coordinated, and managed mid-range business plans for four business units and collaborated with outside companies to acquire differential technology suitable for the industrial market. In these roles, Desaki was also responsible for coordinating factory transfer operations as part of a broader business expansion strategy for Murata’s power product line. 

Beginning his career with Murata in 2000, Desaki managed global systems integrations, import and export logistics management, and semiconductor supply chain management. From 2013 to 2015, he served as chief of the Business Planning department in the Power Supply Products division at Murata’s Kyoto, Japan headquarters. In this role, he managed global sales and marketing operations for power supply products, overseeing strategic initiatives to expand the division’s international footprint. 

Desaki earned a bachelor’s degree in Policy Studies from Japan’s Kwansei Gakuin University in 2000.
